Its Snowing today!...but

It was snowing here in Glasgow today but only for a short while. It was snowing heavily and I thought that Glasgow was going to have a white day. But unfortunately, as time passes by (around less than an hour), the snow changes back to dropping water of rain, just like the other normal day in Glasgow. Owh well. Still don’t have the chance to have white Glasgow I guess. I wish that Glasgow will be snowing like it used to be back in February 2006 where it was white everywhere in Glasgow. Just like the picture below…sigh…..

Good Luck Peeps!!

Most of my friends are having their exams right now. So just wanna take this opportunity to wish you guys GOOD LUCK! And ALL THE BEST! I’m glad that I have finished all my exams already and what people say great things about having exam before winter break was right. Some people might think that it will be great to have time out before the exams and use it for revision. But since I have done my exam before the winter break, I found it much better than have it after the winter break. Of course this depends on how you keep your momentum with your syllabus since the beginning of the semester. As long as you start focusing from the beginning that it should be fine. So that is what I’m going to do right now, to start studying for my new subjects for my own future benefit. Just hope that I will stick with my words here laa kan hehehe. But since I only have to subjects for this semester then it should be alright I guess.

Anyway I found this exciting thing for those who things that they cant do their exam. It is called “30 things to do in an exam when you know you’re going to fail it anyway” But I’m sure none of you guys will have to follow these 30 things right? Hehehe


1.Get a copy of the exam, run out screaming "Andre, Andre, I've got the secret documents!!"

2. Talk the entire way through the exam. Read questions aloud, debate your answers with yourself out loud. If asked to stop, yell out, "I'm SOOO sure that you can hear me thinking." Then start talking about what a jerk the instructor is.

3. Bring a Game Boy. Play with the volume at max level.

4. On the answer sheet find a new, interesting way to refuse to answer every question. For example: I refuse to answer this question on the grounds that it conflicts with my religious beliefs. Be creative.

5. Run into the exam room looking about frantically. Breathe a sigh of relief. Go to the instructor, say "They've found me, I have to leave the country" and run off.

6. 15 min. into the exam, stand up, rip up all the papers into very small pieces, throw them into the air and yell out "Merry Christmas." If you're really daring, ask for another copy of the exam. Say you lost the first one. Repeat this process every 15 min.

7. Come into the exam wearing slippers, a bathrobe, a towel on your head, and nothing else.

8. Come down with a BAD case of Tourette's Syndrome during the exam. Be as vulgar as possible.

9. Bring things to throw at the instructor when s/he's not looking. Blame it on the person nearest to you.

10. As soon as the instructor hands you the exam, eat it.

11. Every 5 min. stand up, collect all your things, move to another seat, continue with the exam.

12. Turn in the exam approx. 30 min. into it. As you walk out, start commenting on how easy it was.

13. Get the exam. 20 min into it, throw your papers down violently, scream out "Fuck this!" and walk out triumphantly.

14. Arrange a protest before the exam starts (ie. Threaten the instructor that whether or not everyone's done, they are all leaving after one hour to go drink.)

15. Show up completely drunk (completely drunk means at some point during the exam, you should start crying for mommy).

16. Comment on how sexy the instructor is looking that day.

17. Come to the exam wearing a black cloak. After about 30 min, put on a white mask and start yelling "I'm here, the phantom of the opera" until they drag you away.

18. If the exam is math/sciences related, make up the longest proofs you could possible think of. Get pi and imaginary numbers into most equations. If it is a written exam, relate everything to your own life story.

19. Try to get people in the room to do a wave.

20. Bring some large, cumbersome, ugly idol. Put it right next to you. Pray to it often. Consider a small sacrifice.

21. During the exam, take apart everything around you. Desks, chairs, anything you can reach.

22. Puke into your exam booklet. Hand it in. Leave.

23. Take 6 packages of rice cakes to the exam. Stuff at least 2 rice cakes into your mouth at once. Chew, then cough. Repeat if necessary.

24. Masturbate.

25. Walk in, get the exam, sit down. About 5 min into it, loudly say to the instructor, "I don't understand ANY of this. I've been to every lecture all semester long! What's the deal? And who the hell are you? Where's the regular guy?"

26. Do the entire exam in another language. If you don't know one, make one up!

27. Bring a black marker. Return the exam with all questions and answers completely blacked out.

28. Every now and then, clap twice rapidly. If the instructor asks why, tell him/her in a very derogatory tone, "the light bulb that goes on above my head when I get an idea is hooked up to a clapper. DUH!"

29. From the moment the exam begins, hum the theme to Jeopardy. Ignore the instructor's requests for you to stop. When they finally get you to leave one way or another, begin whistling the theme to the Bridge on the River Kwai.

30. After you get the exam, call the instructor over, point to any question, ask for the answer. Try to work it out of him/her.

End of holiday

Its Sunday today and that means today is going to be my last day of my winter holiday. Three weeks passed just like that without me realise about it and lots things happened during these past three weeks. It was a great holiday for me as I really enjoyed it because I have been using it to have some time out for a while after having my exams before the winter break. I guess it was good to have exams before the winter break as you can make use of the holiday as much as you want rather than have to lock yourself in a room to study for your exams. However, it is not that I can really enjoy myself like i have finished my studies as I still have assignments to do during the holiday. But overall I would say that I had a great holiday.

So what’s next? Back to my busy life I guess. I just need to have a full concentration and focus for the next 3 months only before my final exam in April then I can do whatever things that I want to do. So khai, please work hard, just for the next 3 months only.

Glasgow protest on Gaza conflict

Today there was a demonstration in Glasgow regarding the protest on Gaza conflict which I’m sure that we all are aware right now. Mass demonstrations are being held around the world in protest at Israel’s military offensive against Hamas, as the campaign enters its second week. According to BBC news website, rallies are being held in London, Paris, Berlin, Rome, Athens, and several Asian cities, following similar events in parts of the Muslim world on Friday.



So today, I’m joining the demonstration in Glasgow where there were about nearly 2000 people who participated in this demonstration who wants to share their anger towards the Israel people who freely attacked Gaza as a purpose of testing their military weapon. Well I’m not really sure about this actually as I have not been reading any newspaper or watching any news recently hehe. But since attending this demonstration, it makes me want to know about what is actually going on out there so that I could hand out any support that I can give (in terms of doa, and maybe boycott their products).

I also want to share some forwarded email that I got which is about a Friday prayer Khutbah about Palestine. It is a good reading and good things to remind our self too. So hope you enjoy reading it. January 1, 2009

Awal tahun baru hijrah 1430H menyaksikan satu lagi tindakan biadap rejim zionis Israel. Rakyat Gaza yang menderita sejak 18 bulan yang lalu akibat penutupan sempadan oleh Israel sehingga terputus bekalan makanan dan ubat-ubatan kini menghadapi seranga bertubi-tubi Israel dengan menggunakan jet-jet pejuang F-16 dan helikopter penggempur Apachee ke atas sasaran awam. Bilangan orang awam di Gaza yang terbunuh kini telah mencecah lebih dari 300 orang dan Lebih 1500 orang mengalami kecederaan. Bilangan kematian dikalangan rakyat Palestin akan terus meningkat kerana masih ramai mangsa yang tertimbus dalam runtuhan bangunan. Serangan juga akan diteruskan oleh Israel tanpa ada tanda-tanda ia akan dihentikan. Bahkan pasukan darat tentera Israel juga sedang bersedia di perbatasan Gaza dan akan melancarkan serangan besar-besaran pada bila-bila masa. Sudah tentu ini akan meningkatkan lagi kemusnahan, dan kematian di kalangan penduduk Gaza.

Allah Ta’ala berfirman:
4:75Mengapa kamu tidak mau berperang di jalan Allah dan (membela) orang-orang yang lemah baik laki-laki, wanita-wanita mahupun anak-anak yang semuanya berdoa: “”Ya Tuhan kami, keluarkanlah kami dari negeri ini yang zalim penduduknya dan berilah kami pelindung dari sisi Engkau, dan berilah kami penolong dari sisi Engkau!”

Sidang Jumaat yang dirahmati Allah.

Kita diperingatkan oleh Allah SWT di dalam Al Quran:

9:71
Dan orang-orang yang beriman, lelaki dan perempuan, sebahagian mereka (adalah) menjadi penolong bagi sebahagian yang lain. Mereka menyuruh (mengerjakan) yang makruf, mencegah dari yang mungkar, mendirikan sembahyang, menunaikan zakat, dan mereka taat kepada Allah dan Rasul-Nya. Mereka itu akan diberi rahmat oleh Allah; sesungguhnya Allah Maha Perkasa lagi Maha Bijaksana.”

Isu Palestin bukan isu Arab atau isu rakyat Palestin, tetapi ia adalah isu umat Islam. Malangnya umat Islam yang sudah dihinggapi oleh sejenis virus yang disebarkan oleh penjajah iaitu ideology kebangsaan sempit atau assobiyah, kita tidak lagi melihat umat Islam diluar dari sempadan politik Negara kita sebagai saudara seislam yang wajib di bela dan dipertahankan.
Sabda Rasulullah SAW:
Seorang muslim adalah saudara kepada muslim yang lain, dia tidak boleh menzaliminya dan tidak boleh membiarkannya”

Sidang Jumaat yang dirahmati Allah.

Sesungguhnya membantu saudara seislam yang diserang, dizalimi dan ditindas oleh musuh-musuhnya adalah merupakan satu tuntutan ukhuwah. Tuntutan ukhuwah di Dalam Islam tidak mengenal batas-batas Negara, bangsa dan keturunan. Selama mana seseorng itu mengucap kalimah syahadah maka dia ada saudara dalam Islam yang wajib dibela dan dipertahankan. Jika dia disakiti dan dianiaya menjadi tanggungjawab umat Islam untuk merawat, menghilangkan sebab-sebab yang menimbulkan kesakitan tersebut dan menghapuskan penganiayaan dan kezaliman yang dilakukan ke atas dirinya. Ini adalah kerana Rasulullah SAW bersabda yang membawa maksud:

Umat Islam adalah ibarat satu tubuh. Jika sebahagian tubuh merasa sakit maka seluruh tubuh akan merasakan sakitnya dan tidak boleh tidur malam.”

Saudara sidang Jumaat yang dirahmati Allah.

Saudara-saudara kita di Gaza dan di Palestin sudah dizalimi dan dianiaya sejak lebih 60 tahun lalu. Bahkan sejak tahun 1948, 5 juta rakyat Palestin terpaksa meneruskan kehidupan di khemah-khemah pelarian baik di luar mahupun di dalam Negara Palestin yang terjajah. Mereka langsung tidak mendapat sebarang perlindungan dan pembelaan dari Negara-negara Islam baik yang berjiran mahupun dari seluruh dunia Islam. Bahkan penderitaan mereka semakin getir sejak 18 bulan yang lalu apabila Israel dengan penuh biadap menutup sempadan Gaza dan menyekat bekalan makanan, ubat-ubatan, bahan api dan bekalan air bersih.
Tindakan tidak berperikemanusiaan ini disokong oleh kuasa-kuasa besar Amerika, Kesatuan Eropah dan Rusia. Bahkan Bangsa-bangsa bersatu turut bersekongkol dengan kuasa-kuasa besar merestui tindakan penuh kezaliman yang tidak pernah disaksikan di dalam sejarah tamaddun kemanusiaan iaitu 1.5 juta rakyat Palestin dikepung di dalam penjara terbesar di dunia dan kemudian dibiarkan menderita kebuluran. Keadaan begitu genting sehingga ada di kalangan penduduk Gaza yang terpaksa memakan rumput di tepi jalan untuk meneruskan kehidupan. Dan yang paling malang lagi saudara-saudara seagama yang jumlahnya mencecah 1.6 billion orang mengambil sikap acuh tak acuh atau tidak mengambil peduli tentang nasib saudaranya yang berada di ambang kematian. Negara-negara Islam yang merupakan Negara-negara pengeluar minyak yang kaya sanggup membiarkan umat Islam diperlakukan dengan biadap tanpa peri kemanusiaan oleh musuh-musuhnya. Bahkan lebih hina lagi apabila Mesir yang berjiran dengan Gaza tunduk kepada kehendak Isreal dan Amerika dan menutup sempadannya dengan Gaza. Bahkan sehingga saat ini pintu sempadan masih ditutup sehingga rakyat Gaza yang tercedera dalam serangan biadap Israel tidak dapat menyeberang untuk mendapatkan rawatan.

Sidang Jumaat yang dirahmati Allah.

Di manakah kita hendak letak ayat-ayat al Quran dan hadis Nabi SAW yang menekankan tentang tanggungjawab ukhuwah Islam. Bagaimanakah umat Islam hendak berdiri di hadapan Rabbul Jalil dan memberi alasan di atas kealpaan mereka membantu saudara-saudara mereka di Gaza dan dipuluhan malah ratusan tempat yang lain di mana umat Islam dizalimi, ditindas dan disakiti.

Sidang Jumaat yang dirahmati Allah.
Lebih malang lagi apabila ada Negara-negara Islam bahkan pemimpin-pemimpin Islam yang turut meletakkan kesalahan ke atas rakyat Palestin. Ini adalah perkara yang sangat pelik. Israel yang melakukan serangan besar-besaran sehingga membunuh ratusan rakyat Palestin, sebahagian besarnya wanita dan kanak-kanak, tiba-tiba kesalahan itu dilonggokkan ke atas bahu rakyat Palestin?

Sidang Jumaat yang dirahmati Allah.

Jangan terpengaruh dan terpedaya dengan propaganda pihak musuh. Mereka mengulang-ulang gesaan supaya pejuang palestin menghentikan serangan roket ke atas sasaran Israel. Mereka mendakwa serangan roket inilah yang telah mengundang amarah Israel sehingga mereka melancarkan serangan udara sejak seminggu yang lalu. Hakikatnya rakyat Palestin hanya mempertahankan diri dari pencerobohan tentera Israel yang berlaku acap kali ke atas wilayah Gaza. Pencerobohan ini pula berlaku pada saat gencatan senjata berlangsung di antara kedua belah pihak. Apakah pilihan yang ada pada rakyat Palestin ketika mereka dikepung dan dinafikan hak untuk hidup, kemudian dinafikan pula hak untuk mempertahankan diri dari serangan musuh. Undang-undang antarabangsa dan Konvensyen Geneva memperakui tindakan mana-mana Negara atau bangsa yang dijajah untuk mempertahankan hak, diri dan tanah air mereka dari segala bentuk penjajahan asing.

Dunia tidak boleh diperdaya oleh regim zionis dengan siri-siri penipuan mereka. Kemampuan pejuang Palestin dan Hamas untuk bertindak balas ke atas kebiadapan Israel sangat terbatas. Bagaimana mungkin Palestin yang hanya memiliki roket buatan sendiri yang tidak pernah tepat mengenai sasaran boleh menjadi ancaman kepada Israel yang merupakan kuasa tentera yang terbesar di dunia. Dengan sokongan Amerika, Israel memiliki semua peralatan dan senjata tercanggih termasuklah kereta kebal Merkeva, helicopter Apache’ dan Jet pejuang F16, F17 dan F18 yang dibekalkan oleh Amerika Syarkiat. Hakikatnya tindakan serangan roket yang dilancarkan oleh pejuang Palestin sejak sepuluh tahun yang lalu hanya membunuh sekitar 20 orang rakyat Israel, dan itupun dalam rangka untuk mempertahankan diri setiap kali tentera Israel menggempur rakyat Palestin. Bilangan rakyat Palestin yang terbunuh akibat serangan Isreal sudah mencecah ribuan jiwa. Ini tidak termasuk puluhan ribu yang tercedera dan 10,000 termasuk 300 orang wanita yang diseksa dalam penjara Israel. Dan hari ini dalam satu serangan sahaja Israel membunuh 300 orang sekelip mata. Di manakah ’sense of proportion’ atau kemampuan menimbang masyarakat antarabangsa di antara kejahatan Israel dengan kemampuan rakyat Palestin untuk mempertahankan diri mereka.

Sidang Jumaat yang dirahmati Allah.

Atas rasa tanggungjawab dan prihatin yang amat mendalam terhadap kezaliman yang sedang berlaku ke atas umat Islam, khatib mengsyorkan beberapa tindakan praktikal yang boleh dilakukan oleh umat Islam.

Pertama, khatib menyeru umat Islam supaya bermunajat kepada Allah SWT dengan sungguh-sungguh agar Allah mengeluarkan kita dari keadaan yang lemah ini dan mengampuni kealpaan selama ini. Seterusnya kita memohon kepada Allah agar memberi kekuatan kepada seluruh umat Islam supaya bangkit dari kelemahan ini untuk berhadapan dengan musuh-musuh Islam. Seterusnya secara khusus kita memohon kepada Allah agar diberikan kemenangan ke atas umat Islam di Palestin ke atas musuh-musuh zionis yahudi.

Kedua, khatib mengsyorkan agar setiap kariah dan kawasan mngadakan solat hajatperdana memohon kepada Allah agar saudara-saudara kita di Palestin diselamatkan dari kejahatan musuh-musuh zionis dan memenangkan mereka dengan ‘karamah’ dari Allah SWT. Kita yakin golongan yang dizalimi dan teraniaya pasti didengari doa mereka dan akan mendapat pertolongan Allah SWT.

Ketiga khatib mengsyorkan agar umat Islam tidak teragak-agak untuk menghulurkan bantuan kewangan kepada suadara-saudaranya di Palestin. Ini bersesuaian dengan anjuran Allah SWT agar umat Islam berjihad dengan harta dan jiwa raga mereka.

Firman Allah SWT dari surah as Saff:
Wahai orang yang beriman. Sukakah kamu diberitahu satu perniagaan yang dapat menyelamatkan kamu dari seksa api neraka iaitu kamu beriman dengan Allah dan Rasulnya, dan berjihad pada jalannya dengan harta-harta kamu dan jiwa raga kamu. Itulah yang baik bagi kamu jika kamu mengetahui.

Akhirnya khatib ingin mengingatkan umat Islam bahawa kezaliman dan penganiayaan itu menimpa bumi yang diberkati, bumi para Nabi, bumi Isra’ dan mikraj dan bumi di mana terletak masjid al Aqsa yang dimuliakan Allah SWT di samping masjid al Haram dan masjid a-Nabawi.

Khatib juga ingin merakamkan rasa sedih seluruh umat Islam yang amat mendalam ke atas penderitaan yang menimpa rakyat Palestin d Gaza dalam suasana ketika seluruh dunia Islam menyambut Ma’al Hijrah (tahun baru Hijrah 1430H dan ketika tahun 2008 akan melabuhkan tabirnya menjelang ketibaan tahun baru 2009. Apakah ia menandakan tahun baru ini menjanjikan penderitaan berpanjangan kepada rakyat Palestin? Oleh kerana itu khatib menggesa seluruh lapisan masyarakat bangkit untuk menggesa supaya kebiadaban dan keangkuhan rejim zionis yang disokong oleh USA dihentikan dengan segera.

A change for a New Year

Happy New Year to everyone!!..Somehow I decided to move to BlogSpot for this New Year to allow me to open new book in my blogging world. I found out that BlogSpot is more popular than blogdrive and most of them are using it so that is the reason why I have decided to move back to BlogSpot.
I also would like to apologise to all my readers (if there’s any) for not updating my blog that regular due to my busiest semester that I had in university. So I’m planning to regularly update my blog for this year as I only have 2 subjects to sit for this last semester of my degree! Woohooo!!!!

Alright, just want to summarise some update about the end of my 2008 that I have been doing. It started with my trip to Edinburgh soon after I finished my exam in December where I thought that I need some time off after all those restless, tiring, and big pressures that I had in last semester. I have been to Edinburgh before long time ago with my parents and I think it was in 2003 if I’m not mistaken. This time I went there with a girl name Serene, who is someone new special in my life hehehe ;p

Then I had visitor from Bradford which are my twin, my hani bucuk, and their friends Fashran, and Basyeer. There were here for a week to discover the gorgeous city of Glasgow and its surroundings. They all were also here to celebrate my 23rd birthday which was on the 24th December. This was the first time me and my twin celebrating our birthday without either my mum or dad by our side or I could also say that this was the first time we celebrated on our own. Before this, mum was always there during our birthday as it always going to be during holiday time. But this time, they are already in Malaysia and could not be able to join the 3 of us. Well I suppose that I’m a big boy already hehe. Owh I really had a great birthday celebration over here in Glasgow where all the December babies get together and we celebrate it together. The birthday celebration was held at Auntie Ahnis’ house at Cumbernauld where we also had turkey and secret santa on that day. I think this was the first time I had lots of presents during my birthday compare to other years. You can see the pictures below for all the birthday presents that I got ^_^

We also had a day trip to Stirling and Falkirk Wheel and also to Livingston Factory Outlet during Boxing Day.




Then on Saturday of 27th, we had a bowling tournament over here in Glasgow. It was a team event where there were 4 people in a group. My team was called Wa Ka Ka Gaban. Don’t ask me where that name came from. Our team was the winner for the tournament and initially I thought that I was the higher scorer for male individual since I got 144 for the first game and 190 for the second game but unfortunately, they made a mistake and the winner was Abang Ramzan where he had 199 in his first game and 148 in his second game. So it was 13 pins different between us. Owh well..no luck for me this time I guess. Auntie Ahnis got the highest for female individual. Cant remember what’s her score like but yeah..she got the highest for female category. Congrats Auntie!

That are all the things that I have been doing during the end of 2008 I guess. I didn’t go out anywhere during New Year eve as I can’t be bothered to go out. It is all going to be the same anyway with all big crowds around plus the temperature was really cold over here in Glasgow as well. It was around -5 degree Celsius if I’m not mistaken. So just watched the fireworks from my tv.
